ZOLDER 6 HOURS RACE REPORT HERE

No.11 PRIMO RACING - TROUBLE & STRIFE

One of the stranger stories at Zolder was the fact that the team manager of Primo Racing No.11 walked out halfway through practice after "some dissent" in the team - and they had to race with their head chopped off, so to speak. The good news is that there has been an internal promotion - and now Team Mechanic Mark Hermans has stepped into the post.
Congratulations to the new Boss!

WORLD SUPERSPORTS - GMT94's DAVID CHECA COMES GOOD!

David Checa recovered from a poor start to gain his best result in the class. The Spaniard started from the front row but found himself swamped going into the first corner but fought through from tenth to take fourth at the chequered flag.
Aiming for a podium after only three outings for David and five for the GMT94 team.

Lap after lap, the No.94 climbed back up to fourth place with Davids fastest laps on the last 5, chasing 3rd place and closing fast. The team are incredibly happy with his performance - but manager Christophe Guyot was always confident for this race, predicting at the last round at Silverstone that David was on for a podium here.

The team are now off to Magny-Cours in order to work with Pirelli to prepare for the Bol d'Or."I am still too used to the bigger bikes I race in endurance. I was fifth into the first corner but then I got pushed wide by Harms, then I was pushed wide by Sofuoglu, so I decided that I should keep my tyres and get by those guys later. I had a soft front set-up to conserve the tyre in this heat. If there were more laps left I would have caught up with Broc in front, because he had killed his tyre at the end."

SUZUKA...

It's confirmed...Colin Edwards and Noriyuki Haga will be the Yamaha thorn in Honda's side this year...

WORLD ENDURANCE RIDERS AT SILVERSTONE WSB

Good results for all the World Endurance riders at the European round of World Superbikes and World Supersports at Silverstone on the 28th of May. Castrol Suzukis Matthieu Lagrive came off a win at Albacete in WEC to take 8th in the World Supersport race with GMT94's David Checa scoring 11th.

....not that great for Troy Corser.

YAMAHA X-ONE's PAOLO TESSARI - UNCORKED...
Paolo has been secretly studying the secret scrolls in Rimini and will soon unlock the code...he's close to becoming a SOMMELIER!

PHASE ONE'S VAN...
It broke down in Albacete...rumours say repairs will cost £3000...some say it's still there...

NOTE TO ALBACETE RACE CONTROL
Yamaha Austria in 2nd place in the Albacete 8 Horas - they are an AUSTRIAN team, not an AUSTRALIAN team. The Austrian flag is this one...

...not this one.
